Tech-Enabled Ecological Pollution Control: Wuhan Shilong Technology Empowers Smart Upgrades in Xia River Environmental Monitoring

Wuhan Shilong Technology Conducts Specialized Technical Training at Ji'an Xiajiang Ecological Environment Bureau: SL-GPR Pipe Detection Instrument and Pipeline Inspection Robot Enhance Environmental Enforcement Quality and Efficiency
To continuously enhance the precision and intelligence of environmental monitoring and strengthen the technical foundation for pollution control, on 2025/4/27, the technical team from Wuhan Shilong Technology Co., Ltd. visited the Jixi Environmental Protection Bureau in Ji'an City to deliver a specialized training session. Focusing on two core devices—the SL-GPR subsurface pipe detector and the SL-200C digital HD pipeline inspection robot—the training combined theoretical instruction with hands-on practice. This initiative aims to empower local environmental enforcement teams and foster a new model of government-enterprise collaboration for green development.

Tech-Driven: Solving Challenges in Ecological and Environmental Supervision
In recent years, Jiaxiang County has advanced environmental protection through a dual-drive strategy of "technology + policy," achieving significant results in ecological governance. In 2024, the regional PM2.5 concentration decreased by 13.3% year-over-year, setting a new historical low. As the construction of a "Zero Waste City" deepens, challenges such as identifying hidden sewage discharge in underground pipelines and precisely tracing pipeline defects have intensified. Traditional manual inspection methods suffer from low efficiency and blind spots, failing to meet the regulatory demands of the new era. This specialized training directly addresses local pain points in environmental protection, accelerating the transformation of Jiaxiang's ecological monitoring from manual inspections to intelligent, precise control.
Powered by advanced technology to build a multi-dimensional intelligent monitoring system
During the training, Shilong Technology experts delivered a systematic presentation on the principles, functions, operating procedures, and application scenarios of two core environmental protection devices. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, these devices serve as a "X-ray" for underground pipe networks, enabling precise pollution source tracing and efficient network operations.
The SL-GPR subsurface pipe detector leverages advanced electromagnetic wave technology to perform non-destructive, full-coverage scanning of underground utilities up to 5 meters deep. It accurately identifies complex pipelines made of both metallic and non-metallic materials, including PE pipes and concrete conduits. Powered by an AI-driven real-time recognition algorithm, the device achieves a positioning accuracy exceeding 95%. Equipped with a high-precision RTK module and BeiDou satellite navigation, it automatically generates 3D radar images and standardized geospatial reports. This provides precise, traceable data support for identifying concealed pollution sources and tracing illegal discharges, effectively solving regulatory challenges related to unknown underground pipeline locations and hard-to-detect hidden discharge points.
The SL-200C digital HD pipe inspection robot plays a critical role in municipal sewer network operations, including routine inspections and defect identification. Equipped with a 1080P high-definition camera and a precision laser distance measurement system, it supports 360° panoramic, all-angle inspection across the full range of DN50 to DN000mm pipe diameters. It transmits real-time HD video from inside the pipeline and automatically generates professional inspection reports that comply with industry standards. Featuring four-wheel independent drive and an IP68 top-tier protection rating, the device operates reliably in harsh environments such as waterlogged, silted, or narrow pipes—significantly improving the efficiency and accuracy of hazard detection while providing robust support for standardized, intelligent, and continuous network maintenance.
Integrate theory and practice to strengthen frontline enforcement capabilities.
To eliminate "paper training" and ensure participants apply what they learn, this session adopts an integrated teaching model combining in-depth theoretical instruction with on-site practical exercises. Focused on core frontline enforcement scenarios, the training featured hands-on drills at the Xiajiang County Industrial Park. Enforcers worked in groups to operate two smart devices, conducting immersive simulations for pinpointing hidden discharge pipes, identifying pipe damage, and locating concealed pollution outlets.

On-site law enforcement officers quickly scanned and located underground concealed sewage pipes using the SL-GPR pipe detection instrument. Leveraging Beidou positioning, they precisely marked the pipeline coordinates. The SL-200C pipe inspection robot was then deployed to enter the pipes, clearly capturing details of defects such as cracks, sedimentation, and leaks. This successfully identified pollution hazard locations, validating the practicality and efficiency of the "ground radar scanning + underground robotic internal inspection" 立体 monitoring model. It effectively addressed the gap in smart equipment operation skills among frontline enforcement personnel.
Government-Enterprise Collaboration: Charting a Green Future for the Yangtze River Economic Belt
The head of the Law Enforcement Brigade at the Xiajiang Ecological Environment Bureau highly commended the effectiveness of this training. He emphasized that regional ecological environmental protection has entered a new phase of refined governance, with underground pipe network supervision serving as a critical component of pollution prevention and control. Shilong Technology's intelligent monitoring equipment is user-friendly, precise, and efficient, complementing existing enforcement tools effectively. It addresses longstanding challenges in monitoring concealed discharge points, providing robust technical support for precision law enforcement and scientific pollution management. This initiative holds significant value for advancing refined management of local pipe networks and deepening efforts in pollution prevention and control.

This special training is a key initiative to deepen government-enterprise collaboration between Shilong Technology and Xiajiang Ecological Environment Bureau. Building on the successful delivery of equipment in 2024, it represents a comprehensive empowerment upgrade that fully realizes the integration of "equipment deployment, technical implementation, and capability enhancement." The company's Technical Director stated that the focus will remain on meeting ecological environmental governance needs, continuously iterating and optimizing equipment performance. We will further integrate cutting-edge technologies such as AI, IoT, and big data with environmental supervision scenarios, delivering intelligent and integrated environmental monitoring solutions.
This training deployment marks a new phase of intelligent, precise, and digital environmental supervision in Xiajiang County. Moving forward, both parties will continue to deepen routine government-enterprise collaboration, expand the application scenarios of smart monitoring technologies, refine the modernized ecological environmental monitoring system, strengthen the foundation for regional ecological governance, and fully protect our green waters and lush mountains—contributing Xiajiang's insights and Shilong's strength to ecological protection and high-quality development along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
