Empowering Water Management with Technology: Wuhan Shilong Tech Helps Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone Enter a New Era of Intelligent Monitoring for Outfall Discharge into Rivers

Wuhan Shilong Technology Co., Ltd. successfully completes delivery of core equipment for the standardized construction project of river discharge outlets in Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Recently, Wuhan Shilong Technology Co., Ltd. successfully completed the delivery of core equipment for the standardized construction project of river discharge outlets in Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone. The delivered ecological environment enforcement aids—including the SL-GPR wireless ground-penetrating radar, SL-200C digital HD pipe inspection robot, and SL-Metal metal pipeline detector—will provide robust technical support for the standardized management of 31 river discharge outlets in the area. This milestone marks the official entry of Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone into the intelligent era of dynamic water environment monitoring.

As an early high-tech enterprise in China dedicated to the R&D of geophysical detection equipment, Wuhan Silong Technology introduced multiple independent innovations for this project. The SL-GPR wireless ground-penetrating radar utilizes ultra-wideband radar technology and long pseudo-random pulse coding to non-destructively detect underground utility pipes made of metal, PVC, PE, and other materials at depths ranging from 0 to 8 meters. Its integrated antenna-host design combined with intelligent analysis software generates real-time 3D images and automatically identifies pipeline information, providing a precise method for tracing illegally installed sewage discharge pipes. Meanwhile, the SL-200C digital HD pipeline inspection robot conducts comprehensive internal inspections, using high-definition imaging to clearly capture blockages, damage, and other hazards. Additionally, the SL-Metal metallic pipe locator rapidly pinpoints the routing of underground metal pipelines, offering reliable data support for network layout assessments.

Per the project plan, Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone will implement a classified approach for 31 river discharge outlets: 18 outlets will undergo standardized construction including signage installation and monitoring equipment deployment; 3 outlets will be developed into demonstration stations featuring multi-dimensional monitoring and intelligent early warning capabilities; the remaining 10 outlets will complete basic standardization upgrades based on actual needs. "These devices establish a three-dimensional supervision network combining above-ground monitoring with underground detection," said the project manager from Wuhan Shilong Technology. "Coupled with the data transmission system, they enable real-time monitoring of water quality and quantity alongside dynamic display of the surrounding environment, achieving zero-delay regulatory early warning."

Upon completion, the Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone will move beyond traditional manual inspection for regulating discharge outlets. By leveraging equipment integration, it enables dynamic management of key discharge points. With real-time monitoring data, environmental authorities can quickly identify violations such as exceedances and hidden illegal pipes, providing precise insights for water governance decisions—fully aligning with the monitoring requirements set by the Jiujiang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment for standardized outlet construction. In the long term, this project will not only significantly improve water quality in the zone but also serve as a replicable "technology + regulation" model for cities along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

Installation and commissioning of the relevant equipment have already begun. All 31 wastewater outlets are expected to be fully equipped and system-integrated shortly. Once completed, Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone will become Jiangxi Province's first region to achieve intelligent, comprehensive monitoring of river discharge outlets, establishing a robust technological defense for watershed ecological protection.
